30 Days of Hell..

Happy New Year Y'all!!

Today it's all about jumping on the bandwagon and setting some goals. I have a hard time setting yearly goals and keeping them so I have decided to make monthly goals.

I logged onto Instagram a few days ago and saw that one of my favorite bloggers is hosting a challenge.

Oh boy! I have started and quit Jillian so many times it's ridiculous. So when I saw this I knew I have to do it! I have the 30 day shred video and as long as I can get my tushy out of bed in the mornings I can do this! PLUS there's a $150 prize for the person with the best results, and homegirl could definitely use $150 since I dropped a load of singles at Targets after Christmas sale.

Goal two: Lose 10 pounds this month. According to my calorie intake I should be losing about 2 pounds a week so to get to my goal weight it will take me 42 weeks. This means by July I should be down a little over 50 pounds which will feel AMAZING!

Goal Three: Just keep tracking! It's a day by day process and I have to live in the moment and just keep my focus.

What are your 2014 goals? How are you going to stay motivated?

New Year New You Planning

Took the plunge Saturday and made a big decision -- We joined a gym!

My parents told us over Christmas that we're going to Flordia in July and I immediately thought, "OH NO!"

I can not look like I do now at a beach in 7 months and be happy. I will not have pictures of my daughters first time at the beach with me being the beached whale. So it's going down! We're getting serious at this household and losing weight!!

I've been meal planning, grocery shopping, and food prepping like it's my job. I REFUSE to give up and REFUESE to fail again...

I've been finishing healthy recipes and finding some running plans because this momma is getting fit!

2014 will be the best year of my life!

- I will not eat my feelings. I will not drink my calories. I will not eat junk that makes me feel like junk. I can do this and I will do this!

What's your plan for the new year? Any goals?

Motivation

Toy been wastingMotivation is what I'm lacking. I have had no desire to move my lazy behind. I have had no desire to eat what I should. I have had no desire to track like I should. However as I looked in the mirror tonight I realized how tired I am of making excuses. I'm tired of going to Ned feeling like crap because of all the food I have shoveled into my mouth. I'm tired of wondering if I'm embarrassing my family by them being seen with me - an overweight obese person. I need to find what motivates me and while I'm still working on that I decided to make myself a reward chart to get me through April. My short term goal is to have lost 40 pounds by my 26th birthday.

10 pound goal - A Ruffles with Love shirt from Etsy
20 pound goal - Join the Y here in our town
30 pound goal - complete the 24 day advocare challenge to amp up my weightloss
40 pound goal - This beautiful dress from The Zig Zag Stripe.

I've currently been wasting $40 a month on weight watchers since I haven't been tracking or going to the meetings so I've decided to give that up and just track through My Fitness Pal. I know the key is to plan plan plan so I PLAN on doing that this week! Check back for my plan this week!

So What Wednesday!?

Getting back in my blogging groove with a link up for So What Wednesday!?
Life After I Dew

* So what if I purposefully skipped my WW meeting last week because I knew I had gained weight. I tracked every day except for Saturday and Sunday this week so I'm hoping I am in for a loss!

* So what if I haven't excersised since August. Things are about to change around here. The husband and I started the 30 Day Shred on Monday so here's to being sore and barely able to walk for the next 30 days. It is all worth it!!

* So what if I can't stop thinking about Black Friday, even though I need nothing.

* So what if on Wednesdays all I can think about is Fridays. I get to wear jeans on Fridays so it's the one day of the week I don't have to think about what I'm going to wear.

* So what if all we have eaten for dinner this week is different types of soup. It's an easy meal and goes in the crockpot!

Hope y'all have a great Hump Day!

Weekend Recap.. I'm back Baby!!

SAnWow so it's a been a LONG while since I have blogged! I have been so sleepy at night I haven't even been able to keep up with reading my favorite bloggers. So my goal is to start back up with the blogging and keep up with it!!

As I stated previously I've been exhausted. So Friday night we ordered a Papa Murphy's pizza (chicken Mediterranean delight is only 5 ww points per slice!!) and watched one of my favorite Christmas movies of all time. Elf!!

Saturday we went to a craft bazaar where I picked up this little number for my dining room table.

I am a little late in planning the Princess's Thanksgiving outfit so we went out to a tiny mall around here to look for one. Thank goodness we found something that will work because I had pretty much given up on the idea of a cute outfit. Of course you can leave the place without riding the tractor!

We also had to get groceries and meal plan. That is honestly the only way I'm able to keep up with tracking is my planning out all my meals for the week ahead of time. The Princess was awesome at the grocery store and thought she needed a toy. She's an only child, and will be forever unless someone wants to give me their baby for free, so she got a toy.

Sunday we got up and headed to church. I'm pretty much OBSESSED with Mexican food and haven't had it in at least two weeks. So we splurged and ate some and it was delicious!! After we got home I put up our second Christmas tree. I know that it isn't even Thanksgiving, but there are only 3 weeks between Christmas and Thanksgiving this year and I spend too much money on decorations to only enjoy them for three weeks. So my house is fully decorated! #dontjudgeme

I spent my evening rocking the Princess to sleep (who NEVER lets that happen) and watching the Chiefs game!

It was such a relaxing weekend and exactly what I needed! Next weekend we start all the Holiday madness so I needed one to relax before the craziness! Hope y'all had a great week!

Please check back for more posts and follow me on Bloglovin!! I'm back in action!!

So What Wednesday!?

It's Hump Day Y'all!! Which means!? Life After I Dew

Linking up for So What Wednesday!

SOOO What!!!

* If the Princess has worn these pajamas 3 nights in a row. However she will get to bed I'm down for!

* If I decided not to buy any clothes for the Princess and I until Black Friday, and then went shopping last weekend. I have decided to start over! So as of October 13th I will not buy clothes for the Princess and I.
* If I'm already buying Christmas presents. It's expensive to buy gifts for everyone and the only way I can manage is to spread it out. I hope to be done with all my gift buying by Black Friday.
* If I'm refusing to buy a Halloween costume this year. Halloween is stressful for us if it's on a school night because we have to drive 30 minutes to see family and more family and then don't get home till late. This year we have decided to stay home and people can come to us. I bought the Princess a super cute dress from Zuilly and that will be what she wears.
* If I went WAY over my weight watchers points limit this weekend. It was our 5 year anniversary and I ate like I hadn't eaten in 5 years. I will kick it in gear next week. My goal is to lose 15 pounds by Thanksgiving.

Hope you all have a great Hump Day!! Go STL Cardinals!!

Phone Dump Monday!

Hey y'all it's Monday and I am dragging! The Mr. and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend!!

Saturday morning we got up and headed out! The night before the Princess stayed at my mom and dads so I got an entire nights rest! I slept from 11 p.m. - 9 a.m. without getting up once! It was amazing!!!

I dropped my iPhone the day before and the back glass shattered so first thing we went and got the 5c. Love it! It's hot pink and is much faster than my iPhone 4. We did a little shopping, had Starbucks,

ate the most delicious steak I have ever eaten in my entire life,
and went to Piano bar.

In the Mr.s defense, the flash was really bright. He wasn't intoxicated! :)

Sunday morning I laid in bed until 9:00!!

If you're not a mom then you can't fully appreciate that, but someday you will! We got to relax and lounge around and then finally headed home. I'm blessed to have parents that can take care of the Princess while we were gone. We hardly ever get to get away just the two of us so it was very needed!

My weekend ended with some snuggle time with the Princess.

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here's to getting back on track with my eating this week since I ate CRAPPY this weekend!!

My Normal Day

I love when bloggers post about a day in their life. It lets me know that they are real! So I thought I would give it a try!

This is what time I set my alarm for. I don't like being rushed and I try to get to school early so I can leave right after I'm done. Like the cracked screen? Anyone feeling sorry for me can totally hook me up with a new apple! :)

I wake up and immediately get a cup of coffee. It's the only way I can survive!

Forgot to take a before pic, but I'm almost ready! Love that messy bathroom!? Keepin it real folks!

The Princess normally eats breakfast on the bed while watching Doc McStuffins while I get ready. I'm blessed in that her daddy takes her to daycare so I don't have to worry about getting her ready every morning.

Typical bumper to bumper traffic. I work on a military base so we have to go through a checkpoint every morning.

I hang out with kids all day! Best job ever!

I get out of school at 3:45, pick up the Princess by 4:30 and then on to making dinner. On tonight's menu Lasagna (new recipe)

Disclaimer - the above dinner was gross! It called for taco seasoning in the ground beef. It tasted like Mexican lasagna. Not my cup of tea.

We then normally do some snuggling and relaxing before bath and bed time at 7:30. This may seem early but this child has slept through the night since she was 4 weeks old and her schedule has never changed. Read Baby Wise!

I try to go to bed by 10:00 so I can lay in bed and watch the news before falling asleep. Sometimes I stay up super late reading blogs and pinteresting, but most nights I'm beat!

So what do y'all's normal days looks like? I just realized I forgot lunch and breakfast. Lol my days are crazy if ya can't tell!

Weekly Goals!

So last week I had the goal to track my food even if it grossed me out, and oh my! I eat Soooo much crap it's ridiculous! By the grace of God I lost weight - very little, but it's better than a gain!

So I'm linking up again with Amy for my weekly goals.

button

Goal One:
Drink water! I do ok during the work week, but the weekend is full of coffee! I must get water in my system!!

Goal Two:
Don't eat out, until the weekend! I have planned meals Monday-Thursday and then the husband and I are going away for the weekend for our anniversary!

Goal three:
Stop spending money! I want to be debt free and I can't be debt free if I keep acting stupid with money!

Hope y'all have a good week and keep up with your goals.

Planned blogs for the week include, my dinner recipe plans for the week, a day in my life, and my loves!

Thankful Thursday Link-Up

Along with trying to lose weight, blog, take care of my Princess, and the house. I have also been trying to get out of debt. While the husband and I have been in this process for a while we haven't really been making progress. There's always that new dress from The Zig Zag Stripe that I NEED, new hair products that I NEED, more food to fill my already full pantry, and new home decor.

So a couple of months ago I started reading this book called "7" by Jen Hatmaker and it pretty much has started wrecking my world. If you have a household income of $48k then you are in the top 3 percent of wage earners in the WORLD! It has opened my eyes to how selfish I am as a person and how insanely stupid I am with money.

I say all that to say, that today I am thankful for so many things!

I am thankful for being born and raised in the United States.
I am thankful for a college degree that my parents worked hard to pay for.
I am thankful for my amazing family.
I am thankful for any followers I have. This blog is my outlet and I love seeing that people like what I'm writing.
I am thankful for my house and all the crazy ridiculous crap I have that fills it.
I am thankful for the book "7" for inspiring me to change my thinking.

If you haven't checked out the book by Jen Hatmaker you can find it on Amazon HERE. Seriously an AMAZING read!!

So What Wednesday!

So yesterday I promised a post about a day in my life, and then left my IPAD at school! Epic Fail! So be looking for that post next week sometime! Meanwhile I'm linking up for SO What Wednesday!!

So What Wednesday
It's hard to believe it's Wednesday already!

* So what if this is all I can think about --
* So what if I started Weight Watchers on last Thursday and I'm pretty sure used all my points on Friday. Not that it's ok to eat your feelings (I'm totally working on it), but my grandpa and two uncles have passed away in the past month. To say it has been rough is an understatement.

* So what if it's October and I'm just now getting into gardening. I HATE sweating unless I'm working out, so I'm just now starting. My yard is need of major landscaping! Any advice would be AWESOME!!

* So what if this is the shortest So What Post. I'm out of things to say! I can't get my mind off all the work I have to do to get my kiddos ready for the end of the quarter, and all the grading I need to be doing!

Hope y'all have a great HUMP day!!

Media Fast

Hey y'all! Monday I started to do a media fast, therefor there was no posting from me. I only used my cell phone to text my husband and call my mom, and other than that no phone, internet, TV, news, or IPad. The morning and day went fine because I was at work and can't use my phone anyway. However when I got home it was a completely different story. The Princess and I's routine is for me to pick her up, and enjoy a snack on the couch while watching Doc McStuffins. She screamed and cried when I told her the IPad wasn't working. It made me realize how addicted we are to media! As the evening went on I became extremely bored. My husband didn't participate so he sat on his phone playing games while I just sat there in silence. I eventually ended up taking a bath and heading to bed early.
Obviously we (my family) needs a media fast. I spent way more time with The Princess having authentic conversations because we were able to focus on each other. My goal is to make this a nightly thing. No TV or phone until after she is in bed. She is growing up way too fast and I don't want to look back on her life and say that I regret something.

So I challenge you to take a media break! It's way harder than it seems! If you decide to do it let me know how you do!

Peace and Love!

Five on Friday!

1.
This was my summer project that is now almost finished. It's only missing some cute Princess photos and IKEA shelving!

2. This super adorable Neon Sorbet Maxi dress from kiKi LaRue was just what I needed on a dreary rainy day!

3. My sweet Princess has been so snugly lately and I'm LOVIN it!!

4. Freezer meals have been a life saver lately! Any new meal ideas? Send them my way please!!

5. I LOVE blogging, but how do you do this, have a job, take care if your kids, and cook!? I'm struggling with keeping up!!

So keep hanging with me! I promise to pick up the posts!!

Phone Dump Monday - Weekend Recap!

This was such a relaxing weekend! One that I really needed after spending so much time traveling with my Grandpa being sick and passing away.

Saturday I went and got my nails done. Nexgen nails might be my newest addiction. They come in 50 different colors and seem to last much longer than gel polish. I will let you know how they look in a couple weeks!

I have been trying to cook more at home so I went shopping and bought stuff to make a couple freezer meals. Chili, Lasagna, and meatloaf are just some of the things I make.

We went to a bonfire at the Mr.'s parent house Saturday night and the Princess and I took some selfies.

Sunday I spent the day cleaning and napping. There is nothing better than clean wood floors and fall decorations.

The hubs took this picture because I fell asleep during the KC game. :(

Hope y'all had a great weekend! What did you do!?

Five on Friday

So What Friday Link-up! Woot Woot!! It's my favorite day of the week!!

1. I'm in love with my new Fall hair!! Thank you Jesus for getting rid of those awful gold highlights!

2. Now that school is back in session I'm in love with the weekends! I live for Fridays where I can wear jeans, and Saturdays which involve no makeup!

3. Need I say more!? Fall can't get here fast enough! I love craft shows!

4. Caramel!!!!

5. Although this goes against my goal of getting healthy. The Wendy's in my town was demolished and being rebuilt all summer. Guess what's back!?

Sorry, not sorry!

Go link up!! It's the freakin weekend y'all!
